About the Author
Welcome to my blog! I am a first year teacher in Southern Alberta about to embark on my first teaching assignment in Grades 7-10 teaching Social Studies and English.
The title of this blog is an allusion to the Sherlock Holmes quote, "'Data! Data! Data!' he cried, 'I can't make bricks without clay!'", and is the perfect representation of my teaching philosophy. I want to give my students the foundational tools they need to be successful in the world beyond school, and this blog will be a place for me to reflect and share my experiences in making bricks from clay in my classroom.
Thank-you for taking the time to read this blog and please feel free to contact me with any questions that go unanswered here or just to share your thoughts! Happy teaching!
